Foreigner Fined RMB 500, Jailed 10 Days for Molesting Dalian Waitress

Posted: 10/22/2014 6:27 pm

jinzhou dalian A foreigner in Dalian found himself in a whole lot of trouble after he was arrested, fined, and jailed for sexual assault.

The foreign visitor, identified only as Ueda, 26, was with his father on a business trip on October 10 when he decided to eat in a private room at a seafood restaurant. The drinks started to flow, and eventually Ueda, in his words, “lost control of himself” and forcibly embraced a waitress named Zhang, who cried out.

Ueda then reportedly attacked other wait staff after they criticized him for his advances, destroying a restaurant chair in the process. A table of men nearly engaged to “teach the foreigner a lesson”, but rightfully ended up calling police instead. Ueda admitted to his crimes, was fined RMB 500, and was sent to jail for 10 days.

Dalian police emphasized they followed proper procedures in handling the situation. Ueda doesn’t understand a word of Chinese, which made the investigation more difficult.

Rwandan Expat Deported for Allegedly Molesting Bus Passenger

hangzhou public bus

A Rwandan has been arrested by police for allegedly molesting a female on a bus in Hangzhou, reported iFeng. The accused, Amani Edouard, was taken into custody on September 16.

Mr Zi, the driver, said a passenger told him, “There is a laowai in the back sexually harassing women.” Not long afterward, someone shouted, “Call the police!”  Zi then confronted three men at the back of the bus and prevented them from exiting before police arrived.

The alleged victim, a woman named Hu, said she was coming home from work with a woman named Wu. Hu said Edouard was sitting across from her in the last row of seats. Hu tried to sit on Wu’s leg because she was frightened of Edouard. Edouard sat on the seat Hu had just vacated and allegedly touched her thigh.

The next day, after being restrained in a special “drunken wheelchair”, Edouard denied the charges. Police say he will be detained for 11 days before being deported.

Guangdong Official Found Not Guilty of Sexually Assaulting Tour Guide in Australia

Posted: 08/20/2014 8:44 am

Song Jingsong, deputy head of Guangdong Urban and Rural Planning and Design Institute, was accused of raping a tour guide in Australia.

A Guangdong official accused of sexually assaulting a university student tour guide was found not guilty by a local court in Australia after the second hearing of the case, reported Nandu on August 19. Song had been accused of two counts of digital rape and two of indecent assault, according to an Australian newspaper, The Age.

Song Jingsong, deputy head of Guangdong Urban and Rural Planning and Design Institute (an organization under the provincial government’s housing and urban-rural development department) travelled to Australia about one year ago. The tour guide, a 33-year old student, was assigned to Song’s government delegation. The two were observed to be  drunk and flirting after dinner, according to CCTV footage submitted from the hotel and Crown Casino.

A local Melbourne Magistrate Court heard the case early last year and granted Song bail last August. In his decision, the Judge found the prosecution’s evidence insufficient to support the conviction of four charges. The Judge also found that the jury could not determine if Song was aware the woman was not consenting to sexual activity, or may not have been consenting.

The prosecution, however, believed the case needed a further hearing and restricted Song from leaving the country, Nandu said. This time, the jury found Song not guilty on charges of rape and indecent assault on Monday, after just four days of the hearing, Nandu said.

The Guangdong government had stated that Song was on a private visit, and had not been sent by the Institute, reported Global Times. The story sparked anger among Internet users last year when news of Song’s arrest surfaced on Sina Weibo, after Chinese newspapers failed to report the story.

One user commented, “Now we have someone spreading the communist ‘seeds’ all over the world,” SCMP reported last year.

Creepy Expat in China Arrested for Molesting Two Women

Posted: 07/30/2014 5:30 pm

dongguan bus stopA visibly drunk expat in Hangzhou was arrested yesterday at noon after having molested two women at a bus stop, reports iFeng.

Mr Li, an eyewitness, had just gotten off the #12 bus at Bandaohong Station at around 11:30 am on July 29 when he saw a foreigner sitting on a short flight of stairs surrounded by a number of men. The men had told Li that they confronted the foreigner after he had accosted two women at the bus stop.

The foreigner is described as male, in his 30s, dark-skinned and with a goatee. The man was wearing a knit vest, grey jeans, and off-white canvas shoes. Li described him as being unmistakably drunk; the foreigner reeked of alcohol, and was holding a beer. As he was surrounded by the men, he didn’t say a word.

When Mr Li went to take a picture of the man on his phone, the foreigner happily posed by giving the “peace” sign.

The suspect cooperated with police and they took him into custody. Police sources said the foreigner spoke in English only, but the main obstacle to communication was that he was too drunk to effectively communicate in any language.

Both female victims are over thirty years old, and, the report said, were “dressed within the acceptable parameters of society”.

The first victim had her dress lifted up when the foreigner got off the bus, while the other had her buttocks touched after getting off the airport express. Both victims have come forward to provide testimony to the police.

Police say the man violated charter 44 of the “Regulations for Public Security Punishment” and will be held in detention for five to ten days.

The foreigner’s identity has not been confirmed, as he was not carrying any personal identification.

Shenzhen teacher pleads guilty to child molestation

Posted: 09/24/2013 11:09 am

A former head teacher in Shenzhen’s Nanshan District pleaded guilty earlier this week to the sexual molestation of four female students at Hongji School, according to a report by Shenzhen Daily.

Prosecutors have requested that the head teacher, surnamed Wu, 42, be jailed for three to five years for sexually assaulting the girls “dozens of times,” though some of the parents feel such a prison term would be too light in view of Wu’s crimes, and the psychological harm it has done to the girls.

According to the court case, Wu had been molesting the female students during noon nap time since September 2012, but his crimes were only exposed in May when one of the girl’s parents went to police. He had persuaded the girls over the course of several months that what he was doing was OK because he was a teacher and “different from other people.”

Stories of child sexual abuse by teachers have been making headlines in local and national media on a regular basis in recent months, and some teachers found guilty of rape of minors have even been executed this year under China’s criminal law.

Li Feng, who was executed July, was one such example of an elementary school teacher that the state came down hard on in an example to others. Li was found guilty of raping and molesting 19 students under the age of 14 in Jilin Province.

China’s Central Government this year introduced tougher sentences for those found guilty of abusing children in an attempt to better protect the safety and rights of minors.

Man beats up Shenzhen government official for sexually assaulting his wife

Posted: 01/8/2013 3:53 pm

We’re sure many husbands who’ve had their wives hit on would love to do this.

A government official based in Shenzhen’s Luohu District was beaten up Saturday by the husband of a woman he is accused of sexually assaulting, according to Shenzhen Economic Daily (via Shenzhen Daily).

The deputy chief, surnamed He, works in Zhongmin Times Square on Sungang Road East. The sexual assault is said to have taken place on December 14.

The husband, a 28-year-old surnamed Qin who works in Guangzhou, found that his wife had used contraception pills. Qin checked text messages and records on the Wechat messaging service and microblogs before Wei admitted that she had been assaulted when she was drunk.

According to a family friend, the couple hoped that He would report being beaten up to police. He didn’t, but the official says he reported it to the bureau he worked for. He denies all wrongdoing.

This is not the first alleged sex offense by a Shenzhen government official in recent years.

In April last year, government official Wu Jianqiang, sexually assaulted a woman surnamed Xiao in a bedroom connected to Wu’s office after he called her to a meeting on April 25, Global Times reported.

The government has since banned officials from drinking alcohol during the workday, according to the Shenzhen Economic Daily.

‘I woke up covered in semen’

Posted: 04/4/2012 6:58 pm

Unfortunately, this was not one Guangzhou TV station’s twisted idea of an April Fool’s Day joke.

Ms. Bai, as she’s been named in local media reports, was riding the 523 bus home from work this past Sunday evening, and dozed off somewhere along the route. When she woke up, Southern Television has reported (see below), she found herself covered in semen:

“I felt uncomfortable, realizing there was something slimy covering my body. I woke up and found that my arms, legs and clothes had been smeared with semen, and a man sitting next to me with pants undone.”

Bai grabbed him, thinking this guy needed to see some police, then turned to the bus driver asking him to keep the door closed. The driver initially ignored her shouts, then told her to shut up.

Having long perfected instant self-hypnosis for situations like this where getting involved would mean having to give up their seat, the other fifty or so other passengers on the bus ignored her too.

Ms. Bai kept shouting at the driver.

“Nobody else is helping you,” the driver yelled at her, expertly avoiding eye contact, “so why should I?” Bai’s pervert seat partner walked off the bus, and she confronted the driver, demanding to know why he opened the doors, receiving no satisfactory response.

Just to make itself look even classier, the company which operates the 523 bus later denied any knowledge of a semen attack, saying the driver merely thought that a small dispute between passengers was taking place. Because semen in Chinese rhymes with so many other words.

As much as this reads like completely fake news, Bai’s next step was to pursue the only recourse left available to her: turning to the media.

Here’s Southern Television’s original report, dated April 2, featuring Bai herself:
