Crowds gathered at Shenzhen’s Window of the World theme park last year for what was called the city’s “Decompression Festival”, and it was so popular it’s happening again this year.

Starting tomorrow (April 4) and continuing through Saturday (April 6), people will be able to don hard hats and pick up hammers to begin smashing old electronic equipment such as computers, televisions, stereos, and more.  Even some old luxury cars will be ready to be destroyed.

We know stress is endemic in China these days, so this provides a much needed opportunity to let off a little steam.  Organizers say many dangerous parts of the equipment will be removed before the angry hordes begin smashing them, and the remnants will be recycled.
