A relatively major fire engulfed part of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport’s departures area today, wreaking havoc for travellers and sending smoke from the building.

Chinaorg.cn has published some photos, which we’ve reproduced below. China Daily says 4,000 passengers and 25 flights have been impacted by the fire so far. The paper says an electronic short-circuit in the departures display led to the fire.
