Shenzhen this weekend: Another charity show, dancing queen, and salsa

If you aren’t still sleepy from all that turkey, there’s always something going on in Shenzhen. Here’s what’s happening:

Nov. 21st – Learn to throw a frisbee by the SZUPA – The SZUPA aims to spread the sport of ultimate frisbee to Shenzhen and China. Members meet weekly for many activities related to the sport as well as social activities to reach out to the Shenzhen Community. Join tonight if you’d like to learn the basics of throwing and catching a frisbee.

Nov. 28th-30th – THANKSGIVING Weekend Party @ V BAR - V Bar in the Venice Hotel is putting on a three day Weekend Party. I don’t see the relationship to Thanksgiving besides it besides it starting on Thanksgiving, but it’s worth a mention.

Nov. 29th - Typhoon Haiyan Relief Concert and Auction @ XPats – Join this second opportunity in Shenzhen to enjoy some music and raise money for those affected by the recent typhoon in the Phillippines.

Nov. 30th - Saturday Salsa Night @ Curv Bar – Make your way down to Curv bar for some Salsa with the Fun Salsa Club.

Dec. 1st - Shenzhen Through My Eyez – Photo Entry Deadline! – Photographers can submit photos to this great exhibit at Fresco International Tapas in Shekou. Show us what you see when you look at Shenzhen. There are three categories: Shenzhen Street Dwelling, Shenzhen Scenery, and Shenzhen Contemporary. The deadline is this Sunday, December 1st. 250RMB to make a submission.

Dec. 1st - Dancing Queen – Abba’s Greatest Hits @ The Poly Theatre  - Enjoy the music of the hit musical Mamma Mia in Shenzhen!

Dec. 1st – Sunday Ultimate Frisbee by the SZUPA – Join a growing group of expats and local Chinese players play the fast growing international sport: Ultimate.
