The Year of the Rabbit Begins… Happy New Year!

The crowds in the streets, in shopping malls and train stations have subsided as people settle in for Spring Festival celebrations. But just because shops are shuttered and people aren’t working doesn’t mean you can’t have any fun.

Among the highlights will be the Guangzhou CNY fireworks over the Pearl River. The City of Five Rams always does it up pretty big for the fireworks show, so if you’re in town it’s definitely something you won’t want to miss. There are also a number of special buffet lunches and dinners, parties, and more. A full listing of all the fun things to do can be found in our Events section.

On that note, we hope everyone has a great 7 day holiday and all the best in the Year of the Rabbit!

(PS: The other cool thing about this being the Year of the Rabbit, is that shopping malls won’t need to change their decorations when Easter comes…)

Ha! That’s so true. We can roll from New Year’s Eve straight into Easter.

I love rabbit stew. Would love to be at the White Swan for a couple days to relax and take in the Festival. Maybe next year.
